About the Class
WEEK 1 – Borek
Borek is a famous street food in Turkey! Made up of delicious phyllo layers, and with a beautiful mix of milk, eggs, and oil in between. You can add feta and spinach into your mix, for the perfect filling!
WEEK 2 – Kunefe
Kunefe is a traditional Turkish dessert made with shredded filo pastry, or alternatively fine semolina dough, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and typically layered with cheese, or with other ingredients such as clotted cream, depending on the region.
WEEK 3 – Lahmacun
Lahmacun is a round, thin piece of dough topped with minced meat, minced vegetables and herbs including onions, garlic, tomatoes, red peppers, and parsley, and spices such as chili pepper, paprika, and cinnamon, then baked.
WEEK 4 – Turkish Delight Rocky Road
Turkish delight is a traditional dessert that is made up of gel mixed with starch and sugar. We take this beautiful traditional delicacy and mix in with digestive biscuits, marshmallows and then cover and mix in with melted milk and dark chocolate – YUM!!!
Cost is $219 per child for the 4 week program.
When purchasing, please select the session your child can consistently attend for the full 4-week term i.e. if you sign up for the Saturday session you will need to attend ONLY the Saturday session every week for the entire 4 weeks. If your child is unable to attend a particular session out of the 4 week program, no refunds or make up classes are available.
